The Everyday Tacoma Testing Lab (ETTL) is our framework for evaluating Tacoma accessories the way an engineer would — not a reviewer chasing sponsorship dollars. Every product, regardless of who makes it or who sent it, goes through the exact same instrumented testing process.

How We Test

• OEM Baseline — Every product is measured against the factory Toyota equivalent, our constant reference point.

• Instrumentation — Thermocouples and thermal cameras for real temperature data, coefficient-of-friction testing, airflow evaluation, and load/retention testing where applicable.

• Fluid Exposure — Coffee spill and multi-day energy drink dwell tests evaluate material integrity and coating durability under identical conditions across every product in a category.

• One Product, One Video — No multi-manufacturer shootouts. Every product gets a dedicated, focused evaluation.

Why It Matters

We’re not trying to make any manufacturer look good or bad. We present the data and let you decide. Manufacturers who work with us know their product is being tested exactly like everyone else’s — no exceptions.

Owner Data

After each video, we open an owner survey to collect real-world, longitudinal data from Tacoma owners actually using the product. That data feeds back into future evaluations and giveaways.
