About Everyday Tacoma
Engineering Meets the Open Road
Everyday Tacoma started with a simple problem: most truck accessory reviews are opinions, not data. A YouTuber straps something to their truck, drives around for a week, and tells you whether they "liked it." That's not good enough when you're spending real money on gear that's supposed to protect your investment.
So we built something different.
Who's Behind This
I'm Darrell — a millwright, mechanical engineer, and 27-year veteran of machine safety, with a background in SCCA racing. I've spent my career testing things the right way: measuring, documenting, and trusting data over gut feeling. Everyday Tacoma applies that same discipline to something I actually care about — my truck, and yours.
The ETTL Difference
The Everyday Tacoma Testing Lab (ETTL) is our answer to the "trust me" review model. Every product we test goes through the same instrumented process — coefficient of friction testing, thermal imaging, fluid exposure trials, load and retention checks — measured against the OEM Toyota equivalent as a constant baseline. One product, one video, no shortcuts.
We work with manufacturers as research partners, not sponsors. Nobody pays us for a good score. The data goes where the data goes.
Built By Owners, For Owners
Beyond testing, we're building a real community of 4th-gen Tacoma owners — collecting longitudinal survey data straight from people actually using this gear, sharing honest results, and giving something back through manufacturer-sponsored giveaways for survey participants.
Whether you're here for a bed mat comparison, a roadside rescue guide, or a deep dive on your iForce Max, our goal is the same: give you the real answer, backed by real numbers.
